Bad News/Great News
The bad news first. Team Pegasus will not be releasing a calendar this year, because calendars are so last calendar year. However, we're a giving team. Last year the calendar benefited World Bicycle Relief, but where to give this year? So we whipped up a little something for charity this year, which leads us to our great news.
We're going to put out a few different wallpapers for a charity, and the charity is you. We'll be releasing some free wallpapers throughout the year, starting with a holiday theme in honor of the holidays and of course the snow biking season, which is upon us. So download and paper away. Just don't use it to sell things, because then we're legally obligated to take your fingernails off with a rusty pliers. You could get tentaus. Nobody wants that.

A little about the photograph. First off, it was taken by Scott Winklebleck, who is a roller derby ref and does a lot of the photos for the Brew City Bruisers.
Cale's Surly Pugsly is a fatbike, which means it has several special features. It has tires that are 3.7 inches wide, which are mounted to 80mm rims. It also uses 135mm rear hubs on both the front and back of the bike so you can interchange the wheels. The rear wheel is laced to a Shimano Alfine eight speed internally geared hub, and the front is laced to a Sun Ringlé ABBA hub with a 22t cog on it in case something happens to the rear wheel. Most of the other parts are standard MTB parts except for the bottom bracket, which is 100mm wide so that it can clear the giant tires. For more of Cale's winter bikes, check out his Flickr.
The gams in the photo belong to Katy, who's not just a pretty pair of legs. Katy's won the WI State SS mtb race and Interbike's Cross Vegas Industry race for the past two years in a row. This year she also won the Ore to Shore SS race and placed fifth overall in the WI women's Cat 1/2 cross series. She's looking forward to her second year of snowbiking on this guy. Oh hey look! A blog!
On a final note, though this is free, please do consider giving to WBR or a charity of your choice this season. If not from the warm fuzzies, then at least for tax purposes!
Have an awesome Friday.
